Shout Out

I had to call out a friend of Jason's from Colorado (Dave Hughes) who created the header of the blog featuring the retro image of Sheila. It rocks, yes?

Clearly he's an artist. Apparently it's just a hobby. I say it's time he starts taking that talent to the streets and cashing in!

You rock, Sheila! I'm so proud of you. Donavon, Ava and I are doing the "Stay happy, be healthy" dance right now (you don't want to see it:). We're here for you in every way. Stay strong. xo - Miki

Sheila,
Kathy Love here in Portland, Or. I am fortunate to also call Katie a dear friend. As you know, she truly is one in a million.

And from what I have read in your blog posts Katie has shared, you are too! Your strength shines through in your blog posts. Keep the positive attitude girl ~ as you are undoubtedly already finding out ~ amidst the fear and myridad of emotions in dealing with the big C is the way it connects people to one another in wonderful and mysterious ways.

You are probably also searching out the 'meaning' in this experience.

With the whirl of thoughts that are swimming in your head, consider this: it is not simply about slaying the dragon. It is also about going through it all without loosing your inner joy. I can see in your photo that you possess great inner spirit. Hold on to it tightly Sheila. The overflow will touch all you know and/or come into contact with.

Sending you strength and hugs across the miles,
Kath

Sheil & Kath- Thank you for the kind, kind words. I adore you both. Sheila, Kathy knows first hand what it means to have a cancer diagnosis as she is a survivor. If you need any wisdom, support, or guidance from someone who has lived it and did so with the grace, poise, courage, and humor you are---then tap into her as she is a gift to all she meets. Love you both. k
